Codolar Beach

POLA COVE

The beach is about 65 metres long and is characterised by its rich seabed, making it a must for those who wish to go scuba diving.



Surrounded by rocky cliffs, it is considered one of the most beautiful coves on the Costa Brava. Its beach has coarse sand and a turquoise blue background, thanks to the reflection of the pine and holm oak vegetation that surrounds it. It is an ideal family beach to spend the day or to stay during your holidays in Tossa de Mar thanks to its proximity to the town centre. By road: If you are driving from Barcelona or Girona to Cala Pola, take the GI-682 road (Tossa-Sant Feliu de Guíxols). If you don't have a car, you can also take a taxi to Cala Pola. You will find the taxi rank next to the bus station in Tossa de Mar. The journey time is approximately 7 minutes, about 5.4 km and the estimated price is between 10 - 13 €. It is possible to park just past the campsite car park and walk to the beach. During the summer months, it is advisable to go very early in the morning to avoid parking problems as parking space is very limited. It is also possible to pay and thus avoid unpleasant fines by parking in the hotel car park which is right in the same cove.

FUTADERA COVE



This small cove is located to the north of Tossa de Mar and is ideal for those who are looking for a hidden cove of the Costa Brava with breathtaking views.breathtaking views. However, it is a slightly isolated cove and difficult to access, as it is necessary to go down 300 steps to reach Cala Futadera. Tourist boats do not reach this beach, so you will only find pleasure boats. Nudism is a common practice.

BONA COVE



Another of the best coves in Tossa de Mar is Cala Bona. Located just 2 km from the town centre. Turquoise waters, the scent of pine and wild rocks make this place a must-see. If you want to know how to get to Cala Bona, you should know that parking in this cove is practically impossible. Its location under a cliff makes the route on foot (via the Ronda path) or by sea the best options. An authentic unspoilt environment where, of course, due to its small size, it is advisable to go with the bare minimum.

GIVEROLA COVE



One of the most complete coves in terms of services. It is located approximately 4 kilometres south of the centre of Tossa de Mar. It is an easily accessible cove, so you can get there in the following ways: by car, by bus (from the Tossa de Mar bus station), by sea (it is a regular stop for tourist boats) and on foot (along the Camí de Ronda). Of coarse sand, like the rest of the coves in Tossa de Mar, it has an extension of 148m and is only 5km from the centre. The existence of a tourist complex means that it offers a restaurant, car park, accommodation and water activities. From Cala Giverola to Cala Pola, it is only a 15 minute walk, so you can explore other coves if you wish without much effort. Without a doubt, one of the favourite coves to go to with the family.

REIG COVE



Cala del Reig is arguably one of the coves with the best views of the walled town of Tossa de Mar. It is small and rocky, located between Platja Gran and Mar Menuda. You can access this cove via a small stone staircase. Depending on the direction of the storms that bring or remove sand, you can sometimes find this beach with or without sand. It is the smallest beach in the whole bay of Tossa, measuring less than 15 metres. However, it offers a unique experience for those who enjoy snorkelling, as it is precisely in its location that a great variety of marine species can be seen.

LLEVADO COVE



This is perhaps one of the most beautiful coves on the Costa Brava. Although it is not directly in the centre of Tossa de Mar, it is a beach that we recommend you visit for its scenery. Surrounded by hills covered with pine trees and Mediterranean vegetation, it offers beautiful views and absolute tranquillity. This cove is located in the Cala Llevadó residential area, 3 kilometres south of the town of Tossa. With a length of approximately 25 metres, this cove surrounded by rocks is characterised by its coarse sand, crystalline waters and lush vegetation. Access to Cala Llevadó is through the campsite located in the cove itself. You will find paid parking where you can leave your car and also the possibility of staying in bungalows or camping in plots. The campsite has spectacular views and, as far as services are concerned, it is quite complete. It is a very popular area for diving centres, due to the richness of its seabed and, in particular, its extensive meadow of posidonias (aquatic plant endemic to the Mediterranean).
